Lands beneath the sky: the Salève aerial cable-car site

The Institute of Architecture of the University of Geneva, announces a Student Ideas Competition involving the landscape of the Franco-Geneva region. Taken as the theme of this competition, the landscape inspires one to think of every artefact within a broader environmental context.
The Competition "Lands beneath the Sky: the Salève aerial cable-car site" invites students to explore every possible potential and future of this unique area based on its different elements, their interrelations
and interactions.

Encompassing architectural, landscape and urban planning aspects of the site of the Salève mountain cable car (located just outside of Geneva), the 2000 edition of this competition is truly European in scope and consequently hopes to attract as many students as possible from the European continent.  We have made the competition rules, schedule and promotional documentation available in both French and English so as to give students every opportunity to obtain and understand the numerous aspects of the competition.
